Tech Check Up: Using WPU Systems and Platforms
Moodle
There are a few ways to access Moodle. One is www.peace.edu - Menu - Quick Links (toward the bottom) - Moodle. Another is to type lms.peace.edu directly into your browse and bookmark the link. You will need to login with your WPU username and password.
You can also download the Moodle app on your phone, although you might not have all the functionality on the app that you do accessing Moodle from your internet browser.
On Moodle, you should see your fall courses here on the main page. You will use Moodle to view and submit assignments, class resources, discussion boards, etc. You should also check Moodle regularly to keep track of your grades in each course.
2. Self-Service
Updating your emergency contact information:
It is important that we have accurate information to reach you as a WPU student and to have accurate information to contact your family should there be an emergency. You will be required to update this information every year. If you don’t confirm this information each year, it will prevent course registration.
Go to www.peace.edu and click on the Menu. Click “Quick Links” and then “MyPacerNet.” Sign in using your WPU username and password.
Click "Launch Self-Service" in the upper left corner. Then click "Access Self-Service". Click on the person icon in the upper right corner of your screen. Confirm your information in two places: User Profile (confirm address, email address, and phone number) and Emergency Contact Information (click “Add New Contact” and then Confirm).
Course Schedule:
From the Self-Service home screen, click “Student Planning” to see your course schedule. “Plan and Schedule” is where you can see the calendar view. You can also add and drop classes here. To browse courses, click on the graduation hat on the left menu and then “Course Catalog.”
Other things to see in Self-Service:
End of semester grades, progress toward degree, current course offerings.
3. WPUConnect
On your Moodle page, right click on the link for "Access WPU Connect" in the upper right corner (right click to open it in a new tab)
From the WPU Connect main page, do the following:
Go to the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the main page. Click on the arrow next to your name, then on "Profile". Confirm your profile information.
Note that the photo will be your student ID photo and cannot be changed.
Set your appointment reminder preferences. We recommend at least setting a reminder email to go out the day before your appointment.
Choose "My Success Network" from the drop-down menu in upper left corner, and view your instructors, advisors, and other faculty and staff who can support you. You can schedule appointments with most of these people by clicking on their profile.
If you scroll down, you’ll see more Services. Here is where you can find information about other offices and make other appointments like Career Design.
Then, choose "Courses" from the same drop-down menu in the upper left corner. Here you should see your course and instructor info. It will also link to Tutorial Services for each course where you can easily schedule tutoring and/or writing appointments.
Your main WPUConnect page will also show you kudos and/or flags, indicating progress in your classes. Pay attention to these!
Click on the menu button by your name and Logout.
4. Student Email and GSuite Apps
Access your student email from www.peace.edu, Quick Links, and Student Email.
If you have not already done so, download the GMail app to your phone. It is important to be able to access your WPU email on your phone! Login using your WPU username and password.
If you have a personal GMail account already logged in, you may need to log out and add this account.
You can also access email and other GSuite sites on MyPacerNet
If you have a personal laptop, I suggest bookmarking gmail directly to your internet browser
You can also download Google apps like Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
5. EllucianGO
If you have not already done so, download the EllucianGO App to your phone from the app store.
Once downloaded, select William Peace University. Click on the lock button to sign in with your WPU username and password.
Here you will find your class schedule, grades, a link to WPUConnect, info on your Pacer Card, a campus map, a link to reset your password, and more!
6. WiFi
For WiFi instructions, go back to MyPacerNet (www.peace.edu and Quick Links from the menu).
Under Campus Links on the right, visit “WiFi setup” and follow the instructions on the page.
7. Faculty/Staff Directory
There may be a time where you need to search for a faculty or staff member in our directory. Here you can see email, phone number, and office location. This is a great resource to consult!
8. Library Login
From www.peace.edu, go to Menu in the top left. Then click on “Quick Links” at the bottom and then Library Login. Here you find access to tons of digital resources which will be helpful for many classes!

Note about fall schedules:
If you haven't yet received your fall course schedule, keep an eye on your email as this should be coming to you soon! If you have not received a course schedule via email by the day before your scheduled orientation date, please contact advising@peace.edu.
-
This document lists all requirements (and choices!) that you have with "LibEd"
-
This folder contains examples of four year plans for each major. These plans allow you to see how your major, Lib Ed courses, and general electives come together on a path to graduation! It is important to note that these are only samples, and your actual course schedule can and will differ.
Note: As a transfer student, it's possible you may already have transfer credit for many classes on this sheet. There is a checkbox to the right of each course that you can check to keep track of what's left! Your plan would obviously differ from this one and would not take 4 years if you have significant transfer credit to apply. You can always talk with your advisor about a graduation estimate.
