PSY 240: Abnormal Behavior 4 credit hours Prerequisite: PSY-101 Through readings, lectures, film clips, and discussions, Abnormal Psychology will help students understand the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of abnormal behavior. Students will also learn strategies for stress management, coping with automatic negative thoughts, and maintaining good mental health over the course of the lifespan. As a part of the course, students will engage in immersive learning activities that enable them to develop skills clinical and counseling psychologists use, such as integrating information from diagnostic interview and test data, diagnosis and treatment planning, and case presentations.
