MAT 201: Introduction to Statistics 4 credit hours All mathematics courses require a TI 84, TI 84 Plus, TI 84 Ce, or TI Nspire calculator. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in MAT-111, MAT-112 or MAT-202 or by permission of the mathematics faculty You will be introduced to descriptive and inferential statistical concepts, including elementary probability, frequency distribution, random variables, binomial and normal distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation, and linear regression. Most students should take this course during the sophomore year.
