PDS-490: Academic Internship I 4-6 credit hours Prerequisite: PDS-300 The Academic Internship I course provides students with an opportunity to apply current skills and experiences to a real-world professional setting. Students will create individualized learning objectives to work toward at the internship site. Throughout the course, students will reflect on their experience and learn how to maximize their 120 hour internship experience through in-class activities and other assignments. The course concludes with an Internship Showcase presentation where students articulate skills developed, reflect on challenges and successes, and connect their internship experience to next career steps.
