Hi, All:
Thanks for the mid-semester feedback today. I really appreciate working together to make sure this course a good learning experience for everyone. Below, you will find an overview of trends in the feedback, as well as some adjustments I will make based on the feedback.
(Please note that I looked for feedback that was mentioned with regularity to make adjustments. There were some comments that were unique to individuals. If something is important to you and not addressed here, let's talk about how I can support you as an individual.)
Things you want us to continue doing - case studies, visiting entrepreneurs, copies of materials/rubrics passed out in class, working on product ideas, working collaboratively in teams, being receptive to ideas/feedback, discussing ideas and questions, and showing videos.
In terms of adjustments, you want to engage with connections around your product concept, and you want more in-class time dedicated to project work. You also want low-stakes assignments, so you know whether you're on the right track. Please keep me posted on how we're doing in these areas. We can modify in real time based on your needs.
The most resounding feedback is that you want a review for the final! I'll make sure this happens.
I also got the sense that you don't want more information about research methods. I was thinking about doing something on Focus Groups, but I think that's a no go based on the feedback. Let's do a temperature check on this one during class, so I can be sure that my read on this is correct.
Again, thanks for the feedback. It's really helpful.
All the best,
HG
