ANT-250 Crime & Science: Intro to Forensic Science 4 credit hours Forensics Science involves the application of scientific knowledge and techniques to legal contexts. Through this course students will gain a holistic knowledge of the various forensic sciences and their utility in the legal process. The course material will introduce you to the theoretical backgrounds of forensic sciences as well as the technology employed in crime scene investigation. You will learn about crime scene techniques in the areas of ballistics, entomology, pathology, toxicology, trace evidence and anthropology, as well as learn about courtroom proceedings. This course is designed for science and non-science majors and should be of particular interest to students majoring in Criminal Justice or Anthropology, as well as others interested in careers involving law and criminal justice.
