BAN-120: Data in Society 4 credit hours This course provides a holistic and interactive introduction to data, analytics and reporting. Students will learn basic statistics and how to interpret and apply critical thinking when evaluating current news, marketing, advertising, social science/health research, political surveys, etc. Students will leave the course with a working knowledge of the basics of Microsoft Excel and how to apply it to real world scenarios. They will also learn to interpret research "claims" and spot biases in themselves and others.
